Caption: This video footage shows the Israel Defense Forces carrying out what they claim was a “targeted raid” in the northern part of the Gaza Strip overnight on Thursday (26October2023). The IDF said of the raid: “In preparation for the next stages of combat, the IDF operated in northern Gaza. IDF tanks & infantry struck numerous terrorist cells, infrastructure and anti-tank missile launch posts. The soldiers have since exited the area and returned to Israeli territory.” The incursion is the first known major one into Gaza since Hamas’s terror attacks on 7 October prompted Israel to declare itself at war with the militant Islamist Palestinian group who control the enclave.
