Patch 8, scheduled for release in 2025, will introduce crossplay, a photo mode, and 12 new subclasses to the highly successful role-playing game. Patch 8 will be the game's final major update, as the developer shifts focus to new projects outside of the Dungeons & Dragons universe. The introduction of crossplay will enable full cross-platform progression for Baldur's Gate 3 multiplayer. Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 introduces new subclasses and their skills. Bard - College of Glamour, Barbarian - Path of Giants, Cleric - Death Domain, Druid - Circle of Stars, Paladin - Oath of the Crown, Fighter - Arcane Archer, Monk - Drunken Master, Ranger - Swarmkeeper, Rogue - Swashbuckler, Sorcerer - Shadow Magic, Warlock - Hexblade, Wizard - Bladesinging. Photo Mode is coming to Baldur’s Gate 3 in Patch 8. You can change camera style, scenes, lens settings etc. Larian plans a Patch 8 stress test for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC in early January.
