Star Wars: Hunters to Shut Down in October, Confirms Eurogamer. Eurogamer reports that Star Wars: Hunters, Zynga’s long-awaited free-to-play arena battler, will officially go offline on 1st October. After numerous delays, the game only recently launched but now faces closure—a move the developers admit is “disappointing” but necessary. To ease the transition, season five will be extended by three weeks starting 25th March and a final free content update arrives 15th April, introducing new character Hunter Tuya and disabling in-game purchases. All modes and leaderboards will remain active until shutdown, but come 1st October, servers will go dark and the game will no longer be playable. Zynga thanked fans for being part of “this incredible journey”.
