Nvidia Unveils New AI Chip For Personal Computers. NVIDIA has announced a new artificial intelligence chip designed for personal computers as the company expands into the growing consumer AI market. Chief executive Jensen Huang unveiled the RTX Spark chip during a keynote speech ahead of the Computex technology show in Taiwan. Huang described the development as being as significant as the evolution of mobile phones into smartphones. Nvidia says the RTX Spark is designed for a new generation of AI-powered personal assistants, turning computers from simple tools into digital teammates. The chip will feature in upcoming Windows PCs from major manufacturers including Lenovo, HP, Dell, Microsoft Surface, ASUS and MSI. The first devices are expected to launch this autumn. The move increases competition in the PC market, where companies such as Apple and Intel remain major players.
