For snow-loving thrill-seekers there’s a new way to get your kicks - ski-biking.

Ski-biking blends the control of a mountain bike with the thrill of skiing.

Built with a suspension frame and skis in place of wheels, these bikes let you rip through powder, hit jumps, and carve slopes like never before.
Although Daniel Behar didn’t invent the ski bike he’s become one of its most visible advocates.

As a rider for Skibyk, he uses a specially designed frame that combines mountain bike suspension with ski-mounted wheels, handlebars, and pedals.

“It’s super easy to learn, especially if you already know how to ski, snowboard, or ride a bike,” he says. “You already have all the tools you need.”
His background in snowboarding, mountain biking, and dirt biking made the transition to ski biking feel natural.

“After riding my Skibike all winter, I get back on my summer bikes and don’t feel out of practice. It’s perfect cross-training.”

Daniel considers himself an adrenaline junkie, drawn to the thrill and freedom the sport provides. Yet, he points out, the ski bike community is surprisingly diverse. “A lot of riders are older. It’s easier on the body than skiing or snowboarding, and that opens the door for more people to get out on the mountain.”

His enthusiasm extends beyond personal enjoyment, Daniel sees ski biking as a way to grow snow sports.

“It’s exciting to help change the industry. Ski biking makes snow sports more accessible, and I’m proud to be a part of that.”
