Foo Fighters forced to cut New York concert short due to thunderstorms. The rockers kicked off the U.S. leg of their Everything or Nothing at All Tour at Citi Field in Queens, New York but instead of their usual 23-track setlist, the band were forced to call time on their show after 13 songs. Frontman Dave Grohl and his bandmates tried to squeeze in Everlong - a song typically reserved for the end of the show but only got to the intro before the event organisers told them to stop. Dave reportedly told the crowd before leaving the stage: ”Listen, this f**king sucks, believe me. If I could do something about it, I would. Just f**king hold tight, no, everybody go get safe! If we can come back and play, we will. But listen, you know we f**king love you... Go get safe, we'll see you soon!”. The band later issued a statement of their own on their social media pages. ”We are so disappointed that we were unable to play our full set for tonight's fantastic crowd at Citi Field. But the safety of our fans, the crew and everyone working in the stadium comes first, so when it was determined that there was no safe way to continue the show in this dangerous weather, we had no choice but to call it a night.” "We're grateful for every second we were able to play for you and looking forward to seeing you again - maybe as soon as Friday!” The All My Life hitmakers are set to play Citi Field again on Friday.
