Beyoncé threatens cease-and-desist order after Trump campaign uses her song. Insiders have revealed the legal threat came after the former president's team used the 2016 track Freedom without permission. A tweet, which has since been removed, showed Trump alighting from an aircraft, with the caption, "Touchdown in Michigan!! @realDonaldTrump," with the track playing in the background. The song has also been adopted as Kamala Harris' "unofficial campaign song” and has been used for several weeks in Harris' ads and social media reels, with permission from Beyoncé. Although the Crazy in Love singer hasn't officially given her support to Harris, insiders have previously told DailyMail.com that "Beyoncé has cleared her schedule to attend a Kamala Harris fundraiser," as she "decided to step back in after people close to her showed her" Trump's Project 2025 plans. It’s not the first time the Trump campaign has used songs without permission. Earlier this month, they were called out by Céline Dion for using her hit song, My Heart Will Go On, at a campaign rally in Montana. Her team released a statement, saying, "In no way is this use authorised, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use. ...And really, THAT song?”
