Among other restrictions, 31-year-old William Applegate is ordered to keep at least 100 yards from the Manchild singer, her sister, and her sister's partner, both of whom live with her. The five-year order also bans him from attempting to communicate with Carpenter, and possessing firearms, according to the Associated Press (AP). Applegate, who attended court without legal representation, said during the hearing that he and Carpenter needed to "be together as soon as possible”.
