Russian Strikes Leave 600,000 Without Power In Ukraine, Zelensky Says. At least 600,000 people across Ukraine have been left without electricity following overnight Russian missile and drone strikes, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says. Zelensky said critical energy infrastructure was hit in Kyiv, the surrounding region and Kharkiv, while at least three people were killed and 21 injured in the capital. The attacks came despite U.S. President Donald Trump announcing an immediate "energy ceasefire" between Russia and Ukraine on Sunday. Zelensky has repeatedly said Ukraine is prepared to stop attacking Russian oil refineries and other energy facilities if Moscow does the same. Russia said its "massive" strikes targeted communications and energy facilities in the Kyiv and Kharkiv regions used by the Ukrainian military. Ukraine said Russia launched 39 missiles and 128 drones overnight, with Ukrainian forces intercepting four missiles and 115 drones. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has rejected giving Ukraine the "respite" of a ceasefire, arguing Europe would use it to supply Kyiv with more weapons.
