Greg Davies reveals how he prepares to play his 'loser' characters. The comedian and Taskmaster host hilariously opened up about his acting process on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, joking that his "loser" characters don't require much preparation at all. ”I only act in things I have written and as I play losers my research is me getting out of bed and standing in front of the mirror in my pants and I'm in character!”. The TV personality is best known for playing teacher Mr Gilbert in The Inbetweeners and starring in the TV shows Cuckoo and Man Down, which he also created. Greg appeared on the talk show to promote the third season of his latest creation, The Cleaner. The funnyman, who wrote or co-wrote of all of the episodes, plays Paul 'Wicky' Wickstead, who cleans up crime scenes. Teasing the new series, the 59-year-old told Graham: ”The third series is a bit sillier than the first two. The character is more together than me, so I've started picking him apart.” The third season of The Cleaner, which launched in 2021, premieres on BBC One on Friday evening before Greg's interview with Graham airs. This week's talk show also features Hugh Grant, Sebastian Stan and Neneh Cherry.
