Black Myth: Wukong's latest patch introduces shrine challenges and new features. According to Eurogamer, Black Myth's latest update introduces the Keeper's Shrine challenges, which are unlocked upon completing the game for the first time. The challenges are available in two modes: Return of Rivals and Gauntlet of Legends, both offering players the opportunity to face previously defeated foes in a rematch. Return of Rivals focuses on one-on-one battles, allowing players to duel former opponents with the option to select from three levels of difficulty. Gauntlet of Legends pits players against a series of returning foes, some with new moves, with difficulty shaped by customizable curses. Developer Game Science notes that challenges will only be accessible if the corresponding opponents have already been defeated in the main game. Black Myth's update introduces four special armor pieces celebrating the upcoming Chinese New Year, available under "Trailblazer's Gift" at any Keeper's Shrine. Black Myth's update 1.0.12.16581 also includes bug fixes and improvements for performance, localization, and boss tweaks.
