A sweet 12-week-old dingo puppy has just become the newest member of the Australian Reptile Park family.

Named Chilli, after the beloved mum character from the hit children’s show Bluey, the little pup is already melting hearts with her cuddly and affectionate nature. Zookeepers have quickly fallen for her, often seen snuggling with Chilli during their breaks.

Soon, Chilli will meet her dingo companions, Bluey and Bandit, who are also named after characters from the same show. Bluey and Bandit, now 18 weeks old, are already crowd favourites, charming park visitors with their energetic play and daily walks. However, Chilli will need a few more weeks to grow before she can join her dingo family. Until then, visitors can enjoy watching Chilli during her own walks, where they can even give the adorable puppy a pat.

“We are absolutely overjoyed to welcome Chilli to our dingo family,” said Mammal Keeper Imogen Melder. “She is such a sweet girl and loves nothing more than curling up in our laps. She’s already showing so much personality, and we can’t wait for everyone to meet her and see her bond with Bluey and Bandit.”

“As adorable as Chilli is, she also plays an important role in our mission to educate the public on the significance of dingoes in Australia’s ecosystem,” Melder added. “We hope Chilli, Bluey, and Bandit will help our visitors better understand the role these apex predators play in maintaining ecological balance.”
