CNN Poll Reveals Low Confidence in Trump’s Willingness to Concede and Supreme Court’s Election Integrity. A recent CNN poll shows that most voters don't believe former President Donald Trump will concede if he loses the 2024 election. This survey, conducted by SSRS, highlights skepticism about Trump’s commitment to accepting election results. While only 30% of voters think Trump would concede if he lost, 73% are confident that Vice President Kamala Harris would accept the election outcome should she be defeated. Among Harris’s supporters, 97% expect her to concede if she loses. However, only 57% of Trump’s backers believe he would concede, showing a considerable gap in trust between the two camps. Support for Trump conceding has slightly increased since July, with 57% of his supporters now believing he would acknowledge a loss, up from 50%. Across the board, 88% of American voters believe losing candidates should concede, with this figure dropping to 80% among Trump supporters. The survey revealed low overall trust in the Supreme Court’s ability to decide election-related cases correctly, with a 56% majority of voters expressing only limited or no confidence in the Court’s decisions. Trust in the Supreme Court is particularly low among younger voters, with only 8% of those under 35 having a strong belief in its ability to make fair decisions, contrasting with 21% of voters aged 65 or older. Black voters (9%), Democrats (4%), and liberals (5%) express particularly low trust in the Supreme Court’s decision-making for the 2024 election. A notable 61% of Trump supporters show at least some confidence in the Supreme Court, compared to just 31% of Harris supporters, highlighting a stark partisan divide. The CNN-SSRS poll surveyed 1,704 registered voters between October 20-23, 2024. Results have a margin of error of ±3.2 percentage points for registered voters and ±3.1 for likely voters.
