James Brolin reveals secret to 30-year romance with Barbra Streisand. The actor opened up about the "best investment" they've made in three decades explaining he and his megastar wife enjoy spending a lot of time in bed. James, 84, shared during an interview with the Today show, ”The best investment we've ever made is our mattress.” He then explained he wasn't talking about stereotypically romantic quality time. ”And don't misunderstand me. We’re both lazy. We love to sleep late. We do a lot of our work on the phone, on paper, reading, right next to each other.” James went on to say he and Barbra, 82, also know when to employ a short walk to cool down during a disagreement. ”You learn to take a walk. Both of us, not just me! I just think you gotta say, 'Okay, take a deep breath, take a walk’.” "Because animals do the same thing, you know? Humans do it to each other, animals do it to each other.” James and Barbra were wed in 1998 after being set up on a blind date in 1996.
