Suitree Experience Hotel has a modern take on this timeless idea, providing a serene and peaceful space to disconnect and rediscover your inner peace.” The hotel is situated in Sardinal on a hilly, 2.6-hectare property in the province of Guanacaste – a region known for its natural beauty. Studio Saxe’s five pods contain guest rooms, while additional structures containa a reception, a restaurant and a spa. There also is a lookout tower and a ground-level villa. The pods are constructed out of metal and teak, sitting on top of angled steel stilts. In each pod, a central spiral staircase provides access to the guest room, where there’s a bed, a pair of twin beds, a bathroom and a desk. The rooms all have running water and electricity. As part of efforts to preserve nature while providing an excellent guest experience, each pod was designed to harvest water, and every tree on the site was preserved during construction. “Rainwater and local biodiversity move freely, ensuring the built structure coexists with the ecosystem. During construction, every tree was preserved, and each pod is designed to independently harvest water, contributing to a larger sustainable water management system,” Studio Saxe say. “These structures not only offer an immersive experience for inhabitants but also actively contribute to sustainability, symbolizing our respect for and commitment to the preservation of the natural environment.”
