Headline: Reading Headset Provides Immersive Book Experience Akin To 'Noise-Cancelling For Your Eyes'

Caption: Have you ever pondered about commencing the next chapter of a novel but found yourself sidetracked by the numerous social media applications on your mobile phone? Here's a new gadget that promises to eliminate all distractions during reading time. Named Sol Reader, the device resembles a virtual-reality headset, but once it's donned, the user won't be transported into a foreign gaming world. Instead, e-books will be streamed directly from one's phone to their eyes, which the product's site aptly describes as "noise-cancelling for your eyes." Similar to reading a book without physically picking one up, the text will be displayed on dual-sided e-ink screens - one for each eye - allowing users to immerse themselves in the book while maintaining sight of their surroundings through peripheral vision. To avoid causing strain to the eyes, the creators have designed the warm-white LED lights to be adjustable, with the option of using an external light sensor to automatically adjust the brightness of the device based on surrounding ambient lighting. Remarkably, those with short-sightedness may not even require glasses when using the Sol Reader, as the diopter range for each eyepiece can be individually adjusted. The gadget also comes with an adjustable nosepiece and a wireless handheld remote to scroll and flip pages. A single charge (two hours) can provide readers with an estimated 25 hours of reading time. The Sol Reader can be preordered for US$350.
