Caption: **RAW VIDEO** On Monday (28August2023) firefighters in Italy went a-baaa-ve and beyond the call of duty to save a group of sheep and goats that had become stranded by a sudden rise in the waters of the Strona stream, at the base of the pylon of the bridge on the SP 29 on the border between the municipalities of Gravellona Toce and Casale Corte Cerro in the Northern Piedmont region. Three teams of firefighters intervened: two operators reached the group of animals by lowering themselves from the bridge using alpine river speleo equipment and proceeded to harness the thirteen goats and the two sheep in difficulty one at a time. The animals were brought back to street level using the crane and were then returned to their owners in good condition.
