The You star has revealed he will be sad to say goodbye to his murderous character Joe Goldberg, who he has portrayed in the hit Netflix thriller You since 2018. The actor then noted that Joe has taught me a lot about what it is to be a man by knowing what it is not. And I don't mean the obvious things like, 'Oh, don't murder. That's bad.' That's very clear.". Penn will return as Joe for the fifth and final season, which will be released on Netflix on Friday.
