Headline: Polestar Create 'Fantasy Electric Supercar'

Caption: **RAW VIDEO** Electric vehicle manufacturer Polestar has brought the winning design from its latest Polestar Design Contest to life in the form of a 1:1 scale model, revealed during the prestigious International Automobile Exhibition (IAA) 2023 in Munich. The "Polestar Synergy," an electric fantasy supercar, is the captivating outcome of this endeavor, combining three winning designs that emerged victorious from a pool of over 600 entries in the competition. Entrants were tasked with creating a Polestar vehicle that prioritized the performance experience while incorporating advanced sustainability-driven technology. From the initial shortlisting of ten designs, the judging panel selected two exterior designs and a groundbreaking interior design, a first for this competition. The ultimate result, the Polestar Synergy, represents over six months of intensive collaboration between the winning designers and the Polestar Design team, uniting three distinct visions into one cohesive reality. Simultaneously, Polestar has embarked on an exciting partnership with Mattel's iconic Hot Wheels brand, starting with Hot Wheels serving as the inspirational muse for the forthcoming Polestar Design Contest. This contest will draw inspiration from Hot Wheels' rich 55-year history, characterized by innovative and audacious automotive designs. The collaboration will also extend to Polestar's production vehicles, which will be immortalized as collectible Hot Wheels and Matchbox models in the future. Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar, praised the winners, stating, "Congratulations to the winners; their vision and the teamwork with our designers have given birth to an exceptionally beautiful car. The collaboration with Mattel for next year's Polestar Design Contest and the forthcoming scale models of our production cars will introduce the Polestar brand and this groundbreaking competition to an even wider audience. All of this underscores that electric vehicles, whether in reality or as toys, can be just as, if not more, exhilarating than their internal combustion engine counterparts." Roberto Stanichi, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Vehicles at Mattel, echoed the sentiment, saying, "Just as Polestar is redefining the boundaries of electric performance and automotive innovation, Hot Wheels has consistently pushed the limits of imagination and design. We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Polestar, beginning with this year's Design Contest winner. This collaboration embodies the essence of Hot Wheels: determination, grit, and passion that push the boundaries of auto design. We can't wait to see the concepts for next year's Challenge." Both winning exterior designers, Devashish Deshmukh and Swapnil Desai, hail from Paris, France. Deshmukh's design drew inspiration from hollowed-out volumes, inspired by the elegance of a hammerhead shark, while Desai's design centered on emotional durability, with a focus on technical upgradability and materials that age gracefully over time. The interior designer, Yingxiang Li, based in China, crafted a cabin with a performance-oriented seating position, offering a novel experience focused on "floating comfort and control." Despite its compact stature, standing at just 3 feet 6.1 inches tall and measuring 14 feet 11.5 inches in length, the car boasts proportions and details previously unseen from the brand, creating a striking supercar silhouette and dispelling any doubt that electric supercars can match the excitement of their internal combustion counterparts. Following its debut in Munich, the 1:1 scale model will journey to the United States, where it will headline the Hot Wheels Legends Tour in El Segundo, California, starting from October 7, 2023, before making appearances at various Polestar locations across the nation. In a traditional acknowledgement of extraordinary talent, Kamil Kozik from Poland received high commendation in the contest for his sustainability-focused performance go-kart, characterised by a streamlined structure and the potential to integrate into a local power grid when not in use.
