Second Man Charged Over Arson Linked to UK Prime Minister. A second man, Stanislav Carpiuc, has been charged in connection to a series of arson incidents involving properties linked to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer. Carpiuc, 26, a Romanian national from Romford, faces conspiracy charges for arson with intent to endanger life after fires in north London. He was arrested at London’s Luton Airport on 17 May and is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday morning. The charges involve three separate incidents: a vehicle fire in Kentish Town, a fire at Starmer's private home, and a fire at his former residence in north-west London. Carpiuc allegedly conspired with 21-year-old Roman Lavrynovych and others to damage property by fire, endangering lives. Lavrynovych, who was charged with three counts of arson, denied the charges during his police interview and will appear at the Old Bailey on 6 June. A third man, 34, was arrested on Monday in Chelsea on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson with intent to endanger life. On 8 May, a car previously owned by Sir Keir Starmer caught fire in Kentish Town, where the prime minister lived before moving to Downing Street. Fires at two properties linked to Starmer were reported on 11 and 12 May, damaging the entrance of a house rented to the prime minister’s sister-in-law. No injuries have been reported in connection with the fires, but investigations into the arson incidents continue.
