Headline: Welsh Ponies Swim Across Marsh Lake In Rare Spectacle Caused By Blue Moon

Caption: This footage shows the rare spectacle of Welsh mountain ponies swimming in high tides. Captured by Welsh photographer Joann Randles, the ponies, who reside on the marsh at Penclawdd, Swansea take to the water to swim across the River Loughor. The occurrence is uncommon, as it is solely brought about by the Blue Moon which results in elevated water levels for the following several days. The highly intelligent, native, hardy, ponies are fantastic swimmers and well-adapted to living in these conditions on the marsh. Ponies, like horses, have large lungs that contribute to keeping them afloat while they swim whilst their strong legs propel their body, using a paddle motion, through the water.
