Dua Lipa wins Mental Health Champion of the Year Award. The 29-year-old singer was recognised by the prominent American LGBTQ+ charity, The Trevor Project. The charity grants the Mental Health Champion award to “influential public figures who use their platform to advocate for mental health awareness and issues impacting LGBTQ+ young people.” The LGBTQ+ ally, who is straight, won praise from the charity after she highlighted their work on NBC's Today program and after she shared a link to their crisis hotline after the 2024 US election result earlier this month.
