Carmen formed the Raspberries in 1970. They released four albums with Capitol Records, AP reports. The group disbanded in 1975, at which point Carmen launched his solo career. His self-titled debut album included the massive hit "All By Myself," which sold over 1 million copies. Other hits include "Make Me Lose Control" and "Almost Paradise". Carmen's other albums include 'Boats Against the Current,' 'Change of Heart,' 'Tonight You're Mine' and a second self-titled album. In 1987, "Hungry Eyes" was featured in the movie 'Dirty Dancing,' helping the album to sell over 32 million copies. The Raspberries reunited for some shows in the early 2000s.
