Headline: JoJo Siwa slammed after 'cringy' interview
Caption:
The Karma singer received backlash from fans after claiming she had created an entirely new genre of music. "When I first signed with Columbia, I said I wanted to start a new genre of music," JoJo, 20, told Billboard. "They said, 'What do you mean?', and I said, 'It's called 'gay pop'. It's like K-pop but it's gay pop'." Unfortunately for the former Dance Moms child star, fans were swift to retort that such a genre already existed. "That's literally been around for longer than she's been alive," one scornful commentator wrote on X/Twitter.
