When the pop superstar dropped a new album in the middle of her mammoth world tour, many fans wondered how she would incorporate her new music into the three-hour concerts, which span each of her album “eras”. During her show at La Défense Arena, Taylor added a section for her new album, giving fans the live debuts of her songs, But Daddy, I Love Him, So High School, Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?, Down Bad, Fortnight, The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived and I Can Do It With A Broken Heart. To make way for the new music, Taylor dropped several songs and re-structured the setlist, combining the Evermore and Folklore eras into one section. Tracks cut from the revamped setlist include The Archer, Long Live, The 1, Tis The Damn Season, Tolerate It and The Last Great American Dynasty. Following the TTPD segment, the Shake It Off hitmaker performed two live debuts during the surprise acoustic songs set, including Loml from the new album and Midnights era song Paris, in honour of the city she was in. The re-worked show also featured several new stage costumes, including a new Lover bodysuit, a Fearless dress, and an Enchanted gown, among other fresh looks. According to BBC News, Taylor told the crowd she felt "incredibly lucky" to be kicking off the European leg of her tour in "the most beautiful, romantic city in the world”. Taylor has three more shows in Paris before moving to Stockholm, Sweden. The European leg runs until August, with opening act Paramore.
