The puppies are taking their first steps towards a working life alongside members of Ukraine’s Border Force (DPS). They will serve alongside border troops, who in addition to their usual security duties have been vital to Ukraine’s war effort following its invasion by Russia in 2022. The DPS wrote on Twitter: “In the first month of life, the Belgian Shepherd puppies achieved considerable success, learned well to take a position near the bowl and spend the whole day in motion. “Already next year, the "Belgian special forces" will serve in the border troops.”
