Headline: RAW VIDEO: For £4.6m You Can Own Your Very Own Version Of Le Mans Winning Ferrari

Caption: Ferrari have unveiled the 499P Modificata - their most expensive and exclusive customer car ever. The €5.1m (£4.6m) hypercar is a significantly enhanced iteration of the victorious 499P, which claimed victory at the Centenary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June this year, and it aims to set new standards in track performance. Crafted for a discerning clientele, the 499P Modificata represents a novel project for Ferrari, as it is a track-only model directly derived from a racing car, unburdened by the constraints of production models and unaffected by FIA WEC sporting and technical regulations The most significant technical differences between the 499P Modificata and its predecessor, the 499P, include the introduction of an electric axle with four-wheel drive capabilities, even at low speeds. Power comes from the same mid-rear-mounted 3.0-litre hybridised V6 engine as the 499P, but the 499P Modificata's engine now produces a combined 697bhp - more than the racing version. An additional 80bhp is on offer for seven seconds at a time, after the driver presses a red 'push to pass' button. The car spearheads the brand's new Sport Prototipi Clienti programme, which enables customers to purchase modified versions of Ferrari’s race cars. Modificata owners to partake in various international track events throughout the year, with Ferrari handling logistics, trackside support, and maintenance. If a customer wants to use a specific racetrack at their own request, an additional fee will be charged. Built upon a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis, the 499P Modificata boasts cutting-edge solutions like push-rod suspension and a sophisticated brake-by-wire system enabling energy recovery by the front axle during braking. In addition, the 499P Modificata sports bespoke Pirelli tyres designed for predictable handling and rapid warm-up, catering to non-professional drivers seeking consistent grip levels over multiple laps. The design of the 499P Modificata, a collaboration between Ferrari and Flavio Manzoni's Ferrari Styling Centre, exudes Ferrari DNA through its simple, sinuous forms, emphasising technical and aerodynamic prowess. Distinctive features include the sculpted flanks, prominent wheel arch openings, and expressive headlights, encapsulating the quintessential Ferrari aesthetic. The rear end of the car showcases technology, aerodynamics, and design cohesion, with lightweight carbon-fibre components and a horizontal double wing. The upper wing is carefully crafted to generate downforce, while a light bar integrated into the lower wing adds a minimalist touch. The roof sports multiple air intakes for engine and component cooling.
