While speaking to People at the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in New York City on Friday, the E Street Band guitarist revealed that the 74-year-old frontman is in "great shape" as he recovers from peptic ulcer disease. ”We're gonna come back stronger than ever in March. It was a very, very intense first six months of the tour - maybe our most intense ever. And so we're gonna come back with that same intensity, and it's gonna be great.” Bruce and The E Street Band announced in September that they had been forced to postpone their remaining 2023 tour dates as a result of the singer-songwriter's health issue. The tour will resume in March 2024. Steve also told the outlet that the shows have been “wonderful”. "Because we were gone for seven years. So, you know, we weren't really sure what was gonna happen. It could have been like, 'E Street who?’" "But we came back stronger than ever in terms of the business, in terms of enthusiasm. Everything sold out immediately. So it was a wonderful surprise and, I think, just a tribute to the craft.” The Born in the U.S.A. singer updated fans on his health during his SiriusXM radio show From My Home To Yours last month. ”Let me take a moment and thank my fans affected by our postponed shows for their understanding. I am deeply sorry but this belly thing, despite my ability to laugh at it, has been a monster and is still unfortunately rocking my internal world.” THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT
