Caption: The Ghost star, who played Deloris Van Cartier in the 1992 film Sister Act and its 1993 sequel Back in the Habit, has assured fans that a much-delayed threequel is still on the cards. "It's still on the way! It's percolating," she told People. "They (the studio) have not said, 'We're over you and this movie.'" Giving a progress report on its development, Goldberg, 68, added, "We're still in the process of writing the script." In December 2020, the Oscar-winning actress announced she would be reprising her role as Deloris and producing the project alongside Tyler Perry.
