Caption: Aaron Rodgers Suffers Serious Injury in New York Jets Debut. On September 11, Aaron Rodgers' highly-anticipated New York Jets debut ended with a potentially season-ending injury. NBC reports that Buffalo Bills linebacker Leonard Floyd sacked Rodgers early in the game. After the sack, the future Hall of Fame quarterback struggled to get off the field at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Rodgers, who was assisted off the field, was replaced by former Jets starter Zach Wilson. According to the Jets, X-rays revealed no broken bones, however, Rodgers was unable to return to play the remainder of the game, which New York won 22-16. Coach Robert Saleh said that the primary concern is that Rodgers suffered a torn Achilles, which would likely take him out of commission for the rest of the season. "MRI is probably going to confirm what we think is already going to happen, so prayers tonight but it's not good.", "I hurt for Aaron and how much he's invested in all of this. So I'm still going to say prayer, I'm still going to hold out hope, but my heart is with Aaron right now.", Robert Saleh, New York Jets Coach, via NBC. The 39-year-old Rodgers won four NFL MVP awards while playing for Green Bay. NBC reports that, throughout his career, Rodgers has been known for his durability, starting at least 15 games in 13 of his last 15 seasons.
