Caption: The Tasty Winners Of The Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2024 Awards. A haunting image, Red Bean Paste Balls, by Chinese photographer Zhonghua Yang, has won the overall prize of Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2024. The image was taken in the rural area of Xiangshan, Zhejiang during busy preparations for a feast for Spring Festival, also known as Lunar New Year. It features the traditional making of dim sum, such as red bean dumplings, steamed rice cakes and glutinous rice cake, each of which has a legacy of traditional craftsmanship. The winners of the 36 categories were announced by chef and broadcaster Andi Oliver in an exciting Awards ceremony on Tuesday 4 June 2024. Other winners in the photography competition included Ming Tang-Evans’s ‘It's Raining Cake - Hallelujah!’, a capture bursting with colour, styled by Tarunima Sinha. Hein van Tonder's Market Lady. Azim Khan Ronnie's Tribal farmers sell their fruits, Natnattcha Chaturapitamorn’s ‘A Day in the Field’, which captures a young farmer carrying a rack of rice sprouts across a paddy field in Sakon Nakhon, Thailand. Other winners included Victoria Kondysenko's Autumn cocktail with pumpkin juice, and Lynne Kennedy's Let Them Eat Cake. Plus many more amazing photographs that took home honours, as seen here.
