Caption: Hunter Biden Is Convicted of All 3 Felonies in Federal Gun Trial. On June 11, President Biden's son was convicted on charges tied to buying a gun in 2018, AP reports. Prosecutors claimed Hunter lied about his previous drug use when buying the firearm. Hunter issued a statement saying that he was disappointed by the verdict but grateful for his family and friends' support. His lawyer will "continue to vigorously pursue all the legal challenges available". President Biden also issued a statement, saying he "will continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal". "Jill and I will always be there for Hunter and the rest of our family with our love and support. Nothing will ever change that.", President Joe Biden, via statement. The charges that Hunter was found guilty of include "lying to a federally licensed gun dealer, making a false claim on the application by saying he was not a drug user and illegally having the gun for 11 days," AP reports. He faces a prison sentence of up to 25 years. A sentencing date has not yet been set. Hunter faces another trial in September for allegedly not paying $1.4 million in taxes. The verdict on June 11 now means that both the current president's son and his main political rival, Donald Trump, have been convicted during an election year.
