The singer and her frequent collaborator remarked upon the track's delayed success in an Instagram video on Monday. ”The song that we said was the best song, but we thought, 'Oh, you know what? Following the recent release of The Eras Tour concert film and a live version and remix of Cruel Summer, the song has finally made it to the top spot, giving Taylor her 10th No. 1 on the chart.
