Caption: Cross-platform PVP switched off on Ark: Survival Ascended by devs. Rock Paper Shotgun report that in an effort to crack down on PC Cheaters, developers Studio Wildcard have indeed temporarily turned off cross-platform PVP multiplayer for windows 10 users. Survival Ascended is a replacement to the original Survival Evolved, and has been designed as a stopgap for Ark2. It launched at the end of October earlier this year. Since launch, console players have been non stop complaining about the amount of cheating going down by PC users. So much so that Studio Wildcard have manned up and listened and announced the temporary disabling, across four of Survival Ascended’s PVP server types for cross-platform play on Windows 10. “We apologise to our Windows players but we feel this is the best course of action for the health of the game.” Apparently Studio Wildcard will work with anti-cheat provider BattlEye and Microsoft to ad ‘robust anti-cheat measures’ to the Windows 10 version before turning crossplay back on.
