Fishermen at Teichgut Peitz GmbH use a motorized landing net to lift fish from the catch net and transfer them to the sorting facility. The Peitz fishermen manage approximately 860 hectares of pond area and plan to harvest about 300 metric tons of carp and other edible fish this year. The origins of fishing in Peitz date back to the 16th century.
