PREVIEW

Thousands of people gathered spontaneously in Piazza del Nettuno before setting off in a march through the city centre. Clashes broke out along Via Marconi. Several people were injured, and a young man lost consciousness after being tackled by police. A police water cannon was also used from behind the protesters and hit the ambulance that was assisting the unconscious man. In protest, demonstrators sat down in front of the police line, which, after several minutes, decided to disband its wall of shields.
