Demonstrators gather at Foley Square in Manhattan to protest US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations following the shooting of Oscar Belgal, 28, by a federal immigration officer during an attempted arrest in the Marble Hill neighborhood on October 8. Belgal was wounded while his five-year-old son was inside the vehicle. Protesters called for accountability and an end to ICE enforcement operations in New York City. Federal officials defended the officers' actions, saying Belgal had used his vehicle to threaten agents, while local officials called for an investigation into the shooting.
