Construction of the first underground modular shelter in Zaporizhzhia’s Khortytskyi district, Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, on October 7, 2026. The cost of the shelter, including installation and improvement works, amounts to nearly UAH 6 million. Construction is in its final stage, with more than 90% of the planned work completed. Workers are currently backfilling the reinforced concrete structure — the module that will serve as the shelter — while simultaneously installing stair flights. The structure, built in the middle of a residential neighborhood, is designed to protect civilians from shelling and air attacks
