The Reject Hunterston Data Centre Campaign Group and Hurlford Rufus Data Centre Community Group held a protest outside a B2B business event in Kilmarnock. Both groups are campaigning against proposed hyperscale data centres in their local areas and sought to convey to the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce and businesses attending the event, including Eneus Energy, the company behind the proposed 500MW Hunterston hyperscale data centre, that local communities oppose the developments.
