Emergency personnel take part in Mexico’s Second National Drill near the Monument to the Revolution in Mexico City, held on the anniversary of the devastating earthquakes of September 19, 1985 and 2017. The exercise simulated a major earthquake and included search-and-rescue operations, emergency evacuations and coordinated responses by local and federal authorities as part of efforts to strengthen disaster preparedness.
