DC area Drag Queen Tara Hoot protests efforts by US President Donald Trump's threats to demolish the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C., Sept. 18, 2026. Trump has repeatedly tried to take control and install his personal branding upon the landmark cultural institution, but has faced repeated push back from courts, artists and the public. The protest, organized by Hands of the Arts, comprised of artists and former workers at the Kennedy Center, called for a human chain around the building.
