The Olympic Flame for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games is handed over at Athens’ historic Panathenaic Stadium, marking the passage of the Olympic spirit from Greece to Senegal.

Isidoros Kouvelos, President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, handed the Flame to Mamadou Diagna Ndiaye, President of the Dakar 2026 Organising Committee, in the presence of IOC President Kirsty Coventry.

The Flame will now journey to Senegal ahead of Dakar 2026, taking place from 31 October to 13 November and marking the first Olympic event to be held on African soil.
