A crowd of protesters affiliated with the Free Nutritious Meals Watch (MBG Watch) staged a protest by banging on pots and lunchboxes at the UGM Roundabout in Sleman, Yogyakarta. The protest, initiated by a civil society coalition to monitor the program’s implementation, highlighted the program’s impact on approximately 40,000+ students affected by food poisoning and demanded that the government make improvements and completely halt the MBG program.
