Participants celebrate Caribbean culture during the 59th annual West Indian American Day Parade along Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn on Labor Day. Thousands of people, including members of New York’s Haitian community, took part in the annual parade. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch attended the event and met participants and police officers before joining the procession.
