Police vehicles are stationed near the RWE power plant in Eschweiler at a substation. On Friday morning, there were also operations at other sites with critical energy infrastructure: Near Aachen, the area surrounding a substation in Weisweiler was searched. A police spokesperson said there was a letter claiming responsibility that mentioned another incident there.
