A partial lunar eclipse is visible in the night sky over Caracas after beginning late on August 27 and continuing into the early hours of August 28. The eclipse reached its peak at 12:12 a.m. local time, when the Earth's shadow covered about 93 percent of the lunar disk, giving the Moon a reddish hue before it gradually returned to its usual brightness.
