A bus carrying a group of residents from Pati—en route to Jakarta to demonstrate in support of passing legislation on asset forfeiture and the death penalty for corruptors—was pelted with stones. Vander, a representative of the advocacy team for the United Pati Community Alliance (AMPB), stated that the incident occurred as the group was passing through the Karawang or Cikarang area in West Java. According to Vander, bricks were thrown by two unidentified individuals—dressed in fully covered attire—from a pedestrian overpass spanning the toll road. The impact shattered the bus windows, and three passengers sustained injuries from flying glass shards.
