“The Future Remembers”, a light-based audiovisual art installation by lighting designer Mykola Kabluka, is projected onto the Motherland Monument ahead of Ukraine’s Independence Day, Kyiv, Ukraine, on August 20, 2026. The 3D light show will be projected onto the monument every evening between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. for five minutes at a time through September 1. The installation is based on the idea that creating the future draws strength from awareness of the past and connection to one’s roots. The project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War
