Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister of Culture of Ukraine Tetiana Berezhna delivers a speech during the launch of “The Future Remembers”, a light-based audiovisual art installation by Mykola Kabluka on the Motherland Monument ahead of Ukraine’s Independence Day, Kyiv, Ukraine, on August 20, 2026. The 3D light show will be projected onto the monument every evening from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. for five minutes at a time through September 1. The installation is based on the idea that creating the future draws strength from awareness of the past and connection to one’s roots. The project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War
