An injured local resident with shrapnel wounds and abrasions on his back speaks to journalists in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district following an overnight Russian attack on the capital. Eight people were killed in the district as a result of Russia’s overnight massive combined attack. At least 16 multi-storey residential buildings were damaged, including a nine-storey building whose upper floors were destroyed, as well as a school, a kindergarten and premises of a children’s hospital. State Emergency Service rescuers and municipal workers are dismantling hazardous structures and clearing debris at the impact sites. An emergency assistance centre has been set up for those affected.
